1st of all, i will like to say sorry if our forum did not speak in the language which egypt members may understand.we are working towards an "english spoken" forum as we are having members from egypt as well. to answer ur questions, we did troubleshoot this issue long ago in our technical section. allow me to explain briefly. 1st it's fuel consumption ,, all of them are in 2000 or 3000 km didn't exceed the 5000 km service yet,,,and this trouble is annoying them -->ok..the FC will be the worse before the 1st service (5k), over time, it will become better and FC wise. please be advised that u go through a break-in process after u done ur 1st service. to know more about break-in, it means u drive ur car like u steal it.what i did was, i drove my ride on a straight road, from gear 1 to 5, i try to get all the gears touches the redzone of the RPM by just 0.5secs and shift to next gear.do not hold it at the redzone too long. 2nd the car air Conditioner is so low at the maximum speed -->for this, we find no issues in malaysia.our aircond is super cold and frozen even at the lowest level. it maybe the factory which compiles it made a serious defect there. 3rd the door glass behind the driver is hanging -->its normal. its hanging half way even u fully wind it down.coz the structure of the door ain't big. hereby, i wish u can intro more egypt friends in here by sharing the club url www.blmclub.co.cc in ur FB or any source of p2p links.thanks~cheers.

ler bro siuyi .. 1km wont be 1L bro .. coz my car can go 400km with 38 liter something .. so it dosent mean i fuel with 400L .. 40L might go till 430 Km if with a decent drive ..
and bout the window at behind .. its not a defect but its the design they made it to go down till a certain level. This because for the childrens security precautions .. this is what i have been told by proton...

hi brother from egypt.
1st of all welcome to the club!! =)
this is my feedback towards your question. may not answer ur question but it may give u rough idea on what is happening =)
during my 1000km service my car is doing 230km - 240km for a Full tank.
second service 5000km 230km - 240km for full tank
after 5000km service my car fuel consumption became very much better. around 290km - 320km.
Saga BLM has a computer inside. in car term we call it ECU. Our ECU is a self learning ECU. Meaning, the ECU will understand and learn the way u drive. after the ECU has fully understand the style and attitude of ur driving, It will self adjust the fuel pressure / air intake to suit your driving style and also to make it economical.
but there is alot of factor towards bad fuel consumptions, example temperature of your country, fuel grade that your using, and driver.
As for the half hanging window, its a safety feature for the back passenger. *mostly for child* it only open half so that a child cant simply open the window fully and climb out of the window. because saga does not have powered back windows. so we cant lock it like any other cars. and if u notice alot of other cars is also half hanging and wont open fully. another thing is, because of the shape of the door, the tire arch is also blocking the window form coming down fully. have a look at the car, and u will understand me better. =)
in malaysia the Air conditioner is superb! we love it. its colder than other cars in malaysia. maybe *just guessing* its not the same air conditioner unit they use for Egypt and malaysia. do u guys have heater in the car? if yes, then it might be a different 1. because our saga here does not have a heater.
sorry for the long post
cheers, and a big hello to egypt members!! enjoy your stay here!!
we will try to help u in anyways possible. just ask =)

Really ,abig "Thank You " for you ,from egypt i really admire your ways in answering our concerns, and the details you provide. i own a Saga Blm, auto i got it at sep 2010, and now i just made the 17000km , my fuel consumption is around 11km/liter my question is, when the fuel lamp in the console i just needs to fill like 30-31 liters,so that means that the lamp lights when 9-10 litres remaining in the tank? i read in the manual that when the lamp is up,that means their remains only 5L so,that means i have problems with the fuel sensor? also another request: did anyone managed to get an arm rest ,designed especially for the SAGa i heared that their is a one designed for saga, but didnt find it here in egypt? thank you very much for your care and hope you accept me as a new member in your wonderful forum which everyone of you enjoy his SAGA

Welcome mahmoud18. The sensor regard fuel light is not a problem. That's common thing. Yes there is 9 to 10 lt petrol in your tank when the light on.
We have armrest in Malaysia specially designed for Saga BLM.
