How Power Booster Turbo Eco works.
By default, most standard cars battery are 12V and charging by the alternator at 14.4V. So before you start your car, its actually 12V. Once its running, the alternator runs. So your whole car is running at 14.4V.
Most components in the car designed to run approx 13.5v to 14.4V for optimum results. Such good example are car audio power amplifier. Almost all their specification are rated at 14.4V input and XXX watts at output. Meaning to say that, if the voltage drop below 14.4V , the output drops too.
Now, the most crucial part of our modern cars is the ECU system. ECU means Electronic Control Unit. It control almost all the component in the engines such as air/fuel ratio, ignition time, rev cut, speed cut, temp and so on. It basically runs from 13.5v onward. That why each time you start the car, rpm shoot up abit and you can see the voltage goes to 13.5v above (if you have a volt meter). Then the ECU boot up. Gets all the sensor reading from O2, temp, pressure, ignition and so on.
What happen when the voltage drops below 13.5V? It actually went into sleep mode to prevent damage to the circuit. Its sort of like turn-off for awhile until the voltage is high enough (13.5V) for it to boot again. So , each time you step on the brake, or turn on the headlamp or air cond, your ECU goes to sleep.
This prevent good fuel consumption, prevent smooth driving experience as all the sensor does not get optimum feedback and calibration from the ECU unit. The only way is to step on the gas pedal and hope the alternator can generate enough to power the ECU up again. By then you already lose out the fuel consumption.
So, in came Power Booster Turbo Eco, we plug this little monster into your cigarette lighter socket and it will keep the voltage as close as possible to 13.5v for the ECU to be fully functional when the car is running. This way, all of your sensors and reading will be calibrate and calculated properly via the ECU system. This is where you gets perfect air/fuel ratio, perfect ignition timing and smoother driving experience.
You can plug it in while the car is running, or before you start the engine. It does not really matter. But you will feels within 2 to 3 seconds that the cars runs differently after using this.
Some cars might not shows significant improvement on driving experience but only on the improved fuel consumption. This is due to the higher voltage going thru the ECU which is somewhere higher then 14.4V thus its enough to keep the ECU up and running but too much voltage going thru is going to mess up the calculation and calibration, so Power Booster Turbo Eco is maintaining as close as possible to 13.5V so all reading is optimum. That why some cars will only see improved fuel consumption and only minor improvement in power handling.
Having all that said, its best to plug it in and let your car tells you the different!
NO CUTTING. NO DRILLING. NO SCREWING. NO TIGHTENING. NO REMOVAL. NO VOID WARRANTY !
